Merry Christmas & Prosperous New Year
To give you a little update of our family.
We have had a very busy year. Vincent started walking just before his birthday, on Easter Sunday but didn’t really take off till May. Since then it has been no stopping him. Csilla and Rob tied the knot in July. Vincent was the ring bearer and how handsome he was in his tails tuxedo.
He is a very independent little man, who likes to have a lot of fun, that reminding me, his favorite character right now is Curious George, go figure. We just changed his crib into a day bed and he has suddenly matured ten fold. Now that he has found his new found freedom, he has discovered the task of responsibility of managing choices and he’s over dosing. Stay in bed to sleep or get out and play, which is the wisest choice. He now wants to do everything on his own, even going down the stairs, opening the front door, brushing his teeth and feeding himself. The highchair is something we still use but now he is starting to prefer the normal chairs. He is talking nonstop. His vocabulary is quite vast. Examples are “no” which was one of his first words, that too go figure…., “airplane”, “bulldozer”, “big truck”, “sleepy”, “look it” & “yeah, I did it” with high fives all around. He is so full of energy and such a happy, loving little guy. We love him to bits. Family hugs are his favorite and bath time. It’s hard to get him out even though he is falling asleep in the water. He loves his boats, foamy ABCs and getting Mummy all wet. We are practicing for swimming lessons number 2 that are coming up soon.
He now weighs 36lbs and is 37inches tall at 20 months. Wow how time flies.
Steve and I are working hard on Diatomic, more so Steve then me. Diatomic is doing very well and we are managing all the ups and downs with as much grace as we can.
I am very proud of Steve for doing so well for himself.
I am working part-time back at Fluor, which is a fantastic location for me. It takes me 2 minutes to walk to work. We celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in June ’07. Can’t believe it has been 5 years already, but yet at the same time it feels like that’s it!
This year I personally took on a few too many responsibilities, so I decided to slow down for the coming year. Focusing on completing existing projects & obligations and then refocusing on what is more important to me and my families’ future.
We have a foster child in South America, her name is Liz.
We started sponsoring her early last year and our last update we received was that she is doing excellent. She even looks much healthier. She is very happy and studying hard and her future goal is to become a carpenter.
Good for you Liz. Well she’s 11, that might change, maybe an HVAC specialist????
We wish all the very best for the coming year and may your families stay healthy, happy and safe in 2007.
